Homes for Sale in Lotus Edge

Work through a session in the fitness center, sit in the sauna until your breathing slows, then lower into the cold plunge. At Lotus Edge the recovery is the amenity.

That is a departure from how communities of this type are usually built. The standard package is a gym and a pool, with recovery treated as something you drive to. Here the sauna, the cold plunge, the massage room, the wellness retreat and the yoga garden sit in the same building as the equipment, which means the second half of a workout has somewhere to happen.

The fitness center is open around the clock for training on your own schedule, and the group studio puts people in motion together. From there the day can turn toward recovery in whatever order suits it. Nothing dictates the sequence.

All of it sits inside a clubhouse of about 39,000 square feet, which is what makes a wellness program that size possible rather than aspirational.

The Sound of Three Racquet Sports

The day changes register at the courts. Tennis delivers the clean crack of ball against strings, pickleball answers with a quick hollow pop, and padel adds a tighter rhythm off the glass.

Eighteen courts are split among the three, with ten for pickleball, six lighted for tennis and two for padel, and a pro shop between them for the hour between one match and the next. When the Florida heat sends the afternoon indoors, the multi-sport complex keeps things moving without anyone going home.

The Hours That Are Not Athletic

The rest of the building is built for them. The card salon and the arcade and game room hold two quieter forms of recreation. Ambrosia, the restaurant and bar, gives a meal somewhere to stretch into conversation, and the Lotus Lounge gives drinks and talk a room of their own. A full-time social director keeps a calendar running through all of it.

The water is arranged the same way, with a purpose for each piece. The resort-style pool opens with a beach entry, the lap pool gives swimmers a straight course, the whirlpool spa offers heat without exertion, and the splash park takes its own corner. Entry is through a staffed gatehouse with security patrolling around the clock, past the spherical water feature that has become the community's signature.

The Houses

Lotus Edge is drawn for 649 houses in two collections, Fiji and Bali, across fourteen named floor plans including Bermuda, Capri, Pacifica, Maldives and Santorini. Three hundred and thirty-four of them stand today and the remaining homesites are still open ground, which is the practical difference between this community and the two that came before it.

The architecture is entirely contemporary, with modern elevations, clean lines and expansive glass, carried over from those earlier communities and pushed further here. Lotus and Lotus Palm are both sold out and trade only as resale, so Lotus Edge is the one where a buyer still chooses a floor plan, a homesite and their own finishes. Dues cover lawn maintenance and alarm monitoring on every house, which makes it straightforward to lock up and leave.

Where Lotus Edge Sits

The entrance is on the west side of Lyons Road just north of Glades Road, on Grand Cascade Avenue, which puts Florida's Turnpike close and both Palm Beach International and Fort Lauderdale within an easy run. Town Center at Boca Raton, downtown Boca, Mizner Park and the beaches all sit east along Glades. Olympic Heights Community High School stands next to the community.
