Homes for Sale in Seasons
One Lake in the Middle
The community is drawn around a single large lake near its center, with the houses gathered along it. Smaller lakes sit around the edges, and one of those, on the left as you come through the gates, carries a fountain.
Beyond the water the recreation gathers in one place. The clubhouse holds a fitness center and a steam room, a resort-style pool and playground sit outside it with a second swimming area beside that, and there is a basketball court on its own ground. The guardhouse at the entrance is staffed around the clock and there is roving security.
The Houses
There are 255 of them, custom-built and standing on about 130 acres, and the lots take only 71 of those. The other 59 acres are the lakes, the recreation ground and the planting between the streets, which is why the community reads as open rather than packed. The lots sold between 1990 and 1995, with most of them going in 1992. Most run one or two stories in the 3,000 to 5,000 square foot range, on lots from about a fifth of an acre to just under a half, with the middle of the range close to a quarter.
Mediterranean was the original idiom and much of it survives, though a good number of the houses have been remodeled toward transitional and contemporary lines in the decades since. Because each was custom-built, two houses of the same size can be very different properties, and what has been redone matters more here than square footage alone. A house that kept its original kitchen and one that was taken back to the studs are two different purchases at the same address size.
One plan is worth knowing about. It centers on a courtyard, with a guest house standing separate from the main residence and the courtyard between them, so crossing from one to the other happens outdoors. It is an arrangement that turns up rarely at this size of house.
At the Corner of Jog and Clint Moore
Seasons occupies the southwest corner where Clint Moore Road meets the Jog Road stretch locals call Millionaire's Row. Regency Court sits close enough to reach on foot, which is worth knowing on a corridor where most errands begin with the car.
Town Center and Boca's shopping are a 15 to 20 minute drive as are Downtown Delray, its restaurants and its nightlife, and the beach. Florida's Turnpike is a short run west, which puts both airports within a straightforward drive.
