Homes for Sale in Royal Palm Polo

The name is real history. Royal Palm Polo stands on the ground where polo was played in southern Palm Beach County until 2008, and the houses took the place of the fields.

The community sits on the east side of Jog Road just north of Clint Moore Road, along the stretch locals call Millionaire's Row. A cascading water feature and landscaped gardens front the entrance, with a guarded gate behind them and an on-site manager inside.

What Was Here Before

In 1977 the Oklahoma oil man John Oxley built the Royal Palm Polo stadium, giving an operation already devoted to the sport a formal stage. The grounds ran on for another three decades, and when the last match was played the layout gave way to residential streets and individual lots across about 122 acres.

The practice field on the north side went its own way and became Azura, so the two communities are the same story told twice. Knowing what preceded the houses changes how the streets are read.

The Houses

Toll Brothers broke ground in 2014 and the houses closed between 2017 and 2023. There are 256 of them and not one homesite is left, so everything here trades as resale now.

Two collections organized the choice. Heritage homes run from about 3,500 to over 4,700 square feet. Signature homes run larger, roughly 4,870 to 7,389 square feet, in four to six bedroom plans with two to four car garages. Pools and spas were built into the designs rather than added afterwards. The lots run from about a fifth of an acre to a little over a half, with the middle of the range close to a quarter.

Because the collections were optioned at a design center, two houses of the same plan can differ substantially inside. Which collection, which homesite and how heavily the original buyer optioned it are the three questions that separate one listing from another.

The Present Tense of Royal Palm Polo

The clubhouse belongs to the community, which means owning here carries no separate membership fee of any kind. Inside its roughly 5,000 square feet, a grand social room sets a formal note while the community room and the game room take the ordinary hours, and the fitness center sits alongside them.

Outside, a resort-style pool and spa run with shade cabanas around the deck and a splash pad for the youngest. Six Har-Tru clay courts are the community's signature, and clay gives tennis a different tempo from hard court. Pickleball keeps a quicker exchange nearby, with a basketball court and a playground on their own ground again.

Where Royal Palm Polo Sits

Jog Road runs north and south past the gate and the two downtowns sit at either end of it. Town Center and Downtown Boca, with Mizner Park and Royal Palm Place, Downtown Delray, its restaurants and its nightlife, and the pristine Boca and Delray beaches are all within a 15 to 20 minute drive. I-95 and Florida's Turnpike are a short run away, which puts both Palm Beach International and Fort Lauderdale within a straightforward drive.

The stadium Oxley built drew the sport to this address for three decades, and its departure is the only reason a parcel this size came free this close to the middle of Boca Raton. That is the quiet part of what a buyer is getting here.
