The neighborhoods behind this list are not interchangeable. Some hold fewer than a hundred houses. Others stretch past four thousand. Boca Pointe fills roughly a thousand acres of unincorporated Palm Beach County with 29 villages. Le Lac keeps twenty-seven estates on roughly two hundred acres, with homesites from two to eleven acres. Fieldbrook Estates has fifty-four custom houses on full acres. Saturnia By The Sea is twelve townhomes across South Ocean Boulevard from the sand.

Woodfield Hunt Club is named for the English-style equestrian center that stood here into the 1960s, a piece of Boca Raton's history. Two entrances on Jog Road are manned twenty-four hours a day, the clubhouses and courts belong to the homeowners association, and no country club membership is required to buy here: owners just pay the association fee. The adjoining Woodfield Country Club is a separate community where country club membership is mandatory for purchasing a home. What an address commits you to varies just as much elsewhere: at Boca Pointe club membership is a separate choice from buying the house, and Camino Gardens has neither a gate nor a club.
